Am now Studying at the KIGALI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ( KIST ) in the Departement of Electrical and Electronics Engineering ( EEE ), in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Am in my first Year, and am also working for the Rwandan Leading Telecommunication Company, MTN Rwandacell, as a Data Solutions Consultant.

It is such a great Experience, and I am Learining a lot.

HELPING ORPHANS.

I was also successful in developing proposal for projects at the Gisimba Orphanage. I found funding for three Projects regarding the work at this orphanage. I designed, developed, coordinated and provided technology training for many, many children of this facility. Additionally, I found funding for other activities, clothes, shoes and toys for these kids. I have tried to provide much hope, training and inspiration for the children there. I still have additional plans to provide more training for the children of Gisimba as well as other orphanages.

BACK TO RWANDA.

Upon my return to Rwanda, I was in charge of developing courses for the students at my school who had also been a part of the first project. I had large responsibilities for setting up these courses and providing the teaching to both students and teachers who were interested. Lisa Holmes visited the project at my School twice since my return and she was satisfied with the progress and actually very impressed with all that has been accomplished.

I designed a school website as well as another for students in the USA to learn more about Rwanda. ( www.rwandanhistory.blogspot.com)
In September 2006, I assisted Lisa Holmes and Colleen Taugher with presentation I made to the Minister of State of MINEDUC as well as representatives from other institutions such as NRU, KIE, KIST and others from MINEDUC. I was very articulate and helpful for these sessions.

Coming to the USA was something very important to each and evryone of us.
We came as a team of four students and one supervisor from the Rwandan Ministry of Education.

Dominique, Lisa's Mum and Lisa Holmes ( Senior Research Asociate- Washington State University.

In May 2006.I was a selected student from My High School to receive intensive ITC training. This project included business applications such as Word and Spreadsheets while learning business practices such as resume` development and budget design. I learned how to disassemble and reassemble a basic computer and to recognize at the parts for troubleshooting. We practiced basic keyboarding skills and developed PowerPoint presentations during the training as well.
I was a very fast and skilled learner and the leader of my school. I was selected to come to the United States for further ICT studies during the summer holidays of 2006. During the two weeks in the United States, I developed strong skills in web design utilizing HTML. I learned to create and build blogs as well as an expert to teach others how to access and utilize the Washington State Digital Learning Commons. Additionally, I learned many skills for digital photo editing and design.
I also attended an intensive Leadership Camp while in the USA as well. I was able to learn many skills and behaviors to improve both ourselves as well as teach others at my school in Rwanda. I also learned how to develop and write project proposals
